Before you arrive
After scheduling, you receive a link to digital intake forms and a visit reminder. Completing the forms gives Lauren a starting point for your conversation.
Bring your questions, including concerns about treatment, past experiences, and activities you would like to return to. Ask Village Medicine about any specific preparation instructions when scheduling.
What happens during the visit
- A conversation. Review your health history, main concern, symptoms, and goals.
- An examination. Lauren takes time to assess the concern before recommending treatment.
- An explanation. Talk through the findings and what they mean for your options.
- Choices and questions. Discuss the proposed care, alternatives, risks, and your preferences.
- Treatment when appropriate. Treatment may take place at the first visit when Lauren considers it appropriate and you agree.
You can ask for clarification or decline treatment. Being assessed does not commit you to a fixed course of care.
