Bring the history, not just today’s headache
Tell Lauren when the headaches began, how often they occur, what they feel like, and how they affect your activities. Mention any diagnosis you have received, medicines you use, and other care you are receiving.
If you have noticed a connection with neck discomfort, work, or a change in routine, describe it without feeling you need to explain the cause.
Is chiropractic care an appropriate option?
Headaches are not all the same. Lauren begins with a history and examination, then discusses whether care within her scope is appropriate or whether another evaluation should come first.
This page does not claim that chiropractic treats every headache or that a headache is caused by a spinal problem.
Keep your care connected
If another clinician manages your headaches, tell Lauren. Discuss how any proposed care fits with that plan and what changes you should report.
