Tell Lauren where and when you notice it
Whether the discomfort is in your lower back or through the middle of your back, describe it in your own words. When did it begin? How does it affect sitting, walking, bending, work, or sleep?
Your history and the pattern you have noticed help frame the examination. You do not need to know the cause before arranging a visit.
Low-back concerns
Tell Lauren about activities that are difficult, prior injuries, and care you have already tried. Mention symptoms that travel into a leg or changes in sensation or strength, even if you are unsure how they relate to your back.
Mid-back concerns
Describe discomfort through the middle of your back, including whether it changes with movement. Mention recent injuries, changes in your health, and symptoms beyond your back itself. Do not assume that every symptom in this area is a joint or muscle problem.
Assessment before an approach
Lauren reviews your history and examines the concern before discussing treatment. She explains the findings, your options, and whether chiropractic care is appropriate or another evaluation should come first.
Tell her about treatment preferences or concerns. Learn about your choices during care .
Work toward a practical goal
Explain what you want to return to: time at a desk, lifting at home, a walk, or sleeping more comfortably. Ask how the plan will be reviewed and what changes you should report.
